Tree Trimming
Focused primarily on aesthetics, tree trimming helps a tree stay healthy and grow in the desired shape. Left alone, trees can become unwieldy, with branches growing in various directions causing roof damage, mold, or obstructed views, just to name a few. Trimming involves thinning out overgrown branches, which helps create a nice, shapely growth. S&S Treeworkx offers both traditional bucket truck trimming and tree climbing.
Tree Removal
Removing trees requires the expertise of professionals. S&S Treeworkx offers:

Bucket Truck Services
Our bucket truck can raise workers up to 60’ in height to perform tree trimming and tree removal. Certified by the manufacturer of our bucket truck, ALTEC, we have completed the ALTEC Sentry Program for insulating aerial devices.
Stump Grinding
Stump grinding removes the above-ground remnants of a tree. Grinding is a manageable route for homeowners because it doesn’t involve removing every tree root, just what you can see

Stump Removal
Stump removal means completely removing an entire stump and root system. This process usually involves using a backhoe or excavator to clear the tree remnants fully.
Chipper
Do you have some unwanted trees, branches, or brush? We’ll bring out the wood chipper to clear your property quickly and easily. We’ll even haul the chipped material off-site, so you’ll have no mess to clean up. Or, if you want to keep the chipped material, no problem! Use it as compost, line walkways or paths with it, or spread it around your flower beds as decorative garden mulch.
Storm Damage Recovery and Clean-Up
We know how scary and dangerous storms can be in the UP and northern Wisconsin. Fortunately, we specialize in removing downed trees from buildings and properties, and we’ll work as quickly as possible after a storm to help clean up the mess. (Even better, call us in advance. We’ll perform some preventative maintenance to the trees to help avoid catastrophic damage to your home or property!)

Forestry Mulching
This is an efficient way to remove unwanted vegetation because we only use one single machine to cut, grind and clear vegetation – no bulldozers, excavators, wood chippers, or dump trucks needed to haul away waste. The mulch from leftover trees, heavy branches, brush, and tall grasses is ground up and laid right back down, forming a nutrient-rich ground cover. Forestry mulching can help control the spread of invasive species, prevent erosion, encourage native plant growth, and ultimately improve wildlife habitat.
New Construction Site Prep
This is the first phase of any construction or forestry project. We assist you through the complete process from clearing the land of trees and debris, leveling the ground for building, moving materials to and from the building site, and excavating services to prepare sites for footings, foundations, and waterlines.
