Expanded Services, powered by a premier forestry management firm
Shamco has expanded into two complementary businesses: S&S Treeworkx and Shamco Lumber, making it one of the Midwest's largest and most diversified forestry management companies.
Since 1997, Shamco has served Michigan’s Upper Peninsula and Northern Wisconsin, providing timber harvesting and land management services.
S&S Treeworkx launched in August of 2021 to better meet the growing demand of certified professionals in the areas of residential and commercial-based tree services, land management, and site development. We offer a customer-centric approach to every project. Since our process is to listen first, we understand your challenges and create a custom solution to fit your needs.

Brad Suheski
President and co-owner of S&S Treeworkx
Brad was born and raised in Crystal Falls, Michigan. He started working for Shamco Inc. when he was just 16 years old while also attending Forest Park High School.
At the same time, he joined the Alpha-Mastodon Fire Department as a volunteer firefighter. He soon earned his Firefighter 1 and 2 certificates from the state of Michigan’s Fire Fighters Training Council. By age 18, Brad had completed additional training, including I-100 (incident command), S-130 (wildland firefighting), and S-190 (wildland fire behavior), through the US Forest Service. He even spent a month in Washington State fighting the Windy Swamp Complex Wildfire in 2001.
Brad learned to operate forestry and excavation equipment while working at Shamco Inc. through 2005. He continued to work part-time in the logging industry for the next 12 years. He also worked through the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Union, earning his Journeyman tree trimmer card. He went on to work for MJ Electric as a Heavy Equipment Operator.
In 2013, Brad was accepted into the American Line Builders Joint Apprenticeship & Training Committee (ALBAT) apprenticeship program. He traveled extensively across Michigan and took numerous trips east to restore electricity to hurricane-damaged neighborhoods.
In 2017, he earned his Journeyman Lineman ticket and later worked as a crew foreman. He advanced his skills even further in 2021 when he earned the title of “qualified live-line barehand lineman.” This additional training equipped Brad to handle various rigging situations, develop and execute individualized plans, and how to handle complex and unforeseen situations.
Brad’s credentials include:
- Journeyman Tree Trimmer (IBEW)
- Journeyman Lineman (IBEW)
- Journeyman Lineman Barehand certified
- Equipment Operator (IBEW)
